Borovets Ski Resort
Bulgaria’s oldest ski resort, Borovets was originally built for a prince. Now, it boasts a network of ski slopes and modern lifts, alpine hotels and restaurants, and the breathtaking backdrop of the pine-forested Rila Mountains.
Situated at up to 2560m altitude, there are 58 km of ski runs at Borovets, with slopes suitable for every level of skier.
Borovets is only about 90 minutres from Sofia, so it’s easy to combine your holiday on the slopes with a winter city break to Bulgaria’s capital.

Pamporovo Ski Resort
Pamporovo is a smaller family-friendly ski resort in the south of Bulgaria, in a region renowned for its 270 days of annual sunshine.
The resort has 55 km of ski-runs and 38 km of cross-country skiing tracks served by 18 lifts.
Pamporovo is a good place to learn to ski, with most of the runs here being easier green and blue slopes.
Off the slopes, it offers a laid-back nightlife, a panoramic restaurant at the top of the Snezhanka TV tower, snowmobile rentals and dog sled rides.
